Grease Trap & Septic Waste Service From Deerfield's Hometown Crew

Why Local Service Matters in Deerfield

Deerfield is home for Cowboy Miller Septic Pumping. Our base sits on Notman Road, so when a kitchen or property in town needs help, you're calling a company that lives here too.

We've been in business since 1964 and are family-owned and veteran-operated. Businesses and property owners around Deerfield call us for grease trap cleaning, septic waste hauling and emergency help when something overflows.

What Rural Kitchens Should Know About Grease & Septic Systems

Plenty of properties in rural Portage County rely on on-site septic systems instead of city sewer. For a commercial kitchen, that raises the stakes. Grease that gets past the trap floats into the septic tank, and from there it can travel into the drain field and coat the soil. Once that happens, wastewater stops soaking in, and repairs cost far more than routine trap service.

A few habits help protect both the trap and the septic system behind it:

  • Scrape plates into the trash before they go in the sink
  • Collect used fryer oil in containers instead of pouring it down the drain
  • Keep grease trap cleaning on a set schedule rather than waiting for a backup
